01 Overview
Teams at Siemens use this portal to connect their applications to the company single sign-on without filing a ticket with the identity team. They can also connect the login systems of partner companies, after proving they own the domain those partners sign in with.
Every connection has owners who stay responsible for it. The portal asks them to confirm it regularly, notices when an owner has left the company, and keeps a history of every change.
02 My responsibilities
- Lead frontend development of the portal, including its complete redesign and the migration to the shared Siemens UI library.
- Design and deliver the self-service workflows used to connect applications and identity providers, such as domain ownership verification and ownership transfer, with reliable handling of every failure case.
- Build the governance features: periodic ownership recertification, role-based permissions and a complete audit trail.
- Contribute to the serverless backend on AWS, including data migrations with dry-run validation and synchronization with Auth0.
03 Ongoing work
The portal is in production and used across Siemens. Beyond keeping it secure and stable, my main focus is shipping new features that make applications and identity providers easier to manage at scale. Every release goes through automated tests and the CI/CD pipeline.
